NECK PAIN

Experiencing neck pain and tightness is becoming more prevalent as we become less active and rely on technology.

Aside from injuries and poor posture, stress also plays a big role in ongoing neck issues.

When we get stressed, the 'fight or flight' system is activated in our bodies, sending messages to our muscles to contract.  As this muscle tension becomes chronic, the tightness reduces our flexibility and produces pain.

Treatment

Our treatment includes a 'hands-on' approach that:

  • promotes relaxation

  • decreases pain

  • improves flexibility and

  • restores proper function to the muscles and joints

Get Stronger

In addition to effective hands on manual therapy, we utilize specific neck strengthening exercises to help get your neck to the point where you can manage it yourself in the long run.

Personalised Movement Plans

It is important for you to learn how to care for your neck and help prevent recurrent episodes.

We'll work with you to devise a program of simple and convenient exercises (with high definition videos delivered to your smartphone via our PhysiApp).

Who we work with

We don't work just anyone with neck pain, but if you fit the following description , there is a very good chance we can help you:

  • you have ongoing pain and stiffness in the neck

  • getting frequent headaches and you'd prefer not to keep relying on medications to get through the day

  • feel tightness in the neck and shoulders that never goes away completely

  • feel a burning pain between your shoulder blades

  • your work involves sitting at a computer and you are having trouble concentrating because of the neck pain

Don't delay your treatment...

The occasional ache or pain may be nothing to worry about, but failing to pay attention to strong pain may end up causing you a lot of problems in the future. If neck pain is reducing your ability to take part in the activities your normally do, then it’s time to get it looked at. In general, chronic neck pain or clicking that is affecting your life is a sign that something is wrong.

A serious problem will not correct itself, and left untreated, can result in more pain and irreversible damage.
